AQM has expertise with state-of-the-art analytical instruments at the University of Alberta NanoFAB. Modified particles can be characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) - to test quality of coating and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) - to test thermal stability, UV-Vis and solid-state NMR. With our new Litesizer 500 particle size analyzer, we can characterize particles from 0.3 nm to 10 μm; analyze particle size measurements by Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), acquire zeta potential via ELS measurements, and acquire Molecular Mass and Refractive Index measurements.
With our ViscoQC 300 viscometer, we can run dynamic viscosity measurements on any sample, including those that are liquid to semi-solid.
