Germanium

AQM develops quantum dots composed of safe and low-cost semiconductors from the Group 14 elements. Our efforts have been mainly focused on silicon but germanium is also within our expertise. AQM possesses numerous proprietary methods for preparing Ge nanocrystals.  Nanocrystals are available in a variety of compositions, sizes, shapes and surface chemistry in multi-gram quantities. AQM possesses the expertise to prepare a variety of Ge nanostructures including:  core-shell structures, Ge/Si alloys and germanium oxides of tailored shapes.
