Nanostructured Silica
Silica based 1-dimensional nanomaterials can be used as cost-effective reinforcing fillers for polymers due to the low toxicity and natural abundance of silica. Silica nanorods, nanofibers with various morphologies (porous/nonporous) and variable aspect ratios (width/length) have been developed by AQM. Applications for these nanostructured materials include additive fillers for polymers for use in thin films, coatings and tires.

Multi-functional Coatings
We have the capability of functionalizing the nanomaterial surface to add additional properties such as hydrophobicity, UV blocking, anti-bacterial, and conductive features. Our additives can greatly improve the mechanical properties of many types of polymers.
